Washington City Paper Develops New Photo Technology

Facebook just bought Instagram for $1 billion. So this is as good a time as any to announce that Washington City Paper has developed technology that will allow users to find and share photos that have the look and feel of images up to 30 years old. "Such a retro look only comes with age and the specific chemical reaction that occurs between light, oxygen, and newsprint," managing editor Mike Madden said Monday.

To access, proceed to 2390 Champlain Street NW and view the bound volumes in our archives. Every image will look like it's at least one week old—guaranteed! To share photos, use the camera or smartphone application of your choice. (Note: Images from more recent editions of City Paper will look less aged.)

Should Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg be interested in this innovative new technology, which we're calling "Look Through Our Old Photos," we suspect it could be had for less than Instagram's price.
