@Really, you are truly misguided. Test scores were gradually going up for the past 10 years and that is FACT and can be proven by merely examining the NEAP report. Further, the improvement in city services were put in place under the Williams administration and the blueprint for those successes were left with Mr. Fenty along with an OUTSTANDING BOND RATING that is now in the crapper. Mr. Williams also left Mr. Fenty a SURPLUS which he has DECIMATED and the detrament of the citizens of the District of Columbia.

This new development that everyone raves about was put in place by Mr. Williams prior to Mr. Fenty taking office, contracts were inked, agreements were made and deals were cut. In total he could not have undone those deals if he had tried because they were NOT under his control. So essentially, all that he has managed to do in his years in office is DIVIDE this city along ECONOMIC and RACIAL lines. My city was much better off before Mr. Fenty and we will be better off aftern Mr. Fenty is VOTED OUT. I am working and giving it a 200% effort to unseat him in this election.

ALL THE WAY WITH VINCE GRAY----One City!!!!!

Crime is down (It's down all over the national. So one has to ask is this because of Fenty or is he just lucky to get elected during a down spike in crime)

Population is up (That's been happening for the last 12 yrs now)

What has he done as Mayor that he can say are HIS results. Since he doesn't like to accept issues that may have happen in past administration then he doesn't get to accept the fruits either. You can't have it both ways.

Why haven't the City Paper done an article about Dr. Dorothy Height? She is a local D.C. resident and is known nationally. The Washington City Paper writes articles on foolishness, but they refuse to write an article about Dr. Dorothy Height.

Like him or not. All the things his people are raving about are true. Test scores are up, Crime is down, and Population is up. I’m not blind enough to blame him for the government layoffs considering that’s a GW Bush problem that the entire country inherited.

As far as the DC Council wanting to have all of the power or input into everything… I’ll use a phase my old football coach use to say,“Opinions are like @$$holes. Everybody has one and they all stink.” Eventually the talking has to stop and work begins. Gray is proving to me that he is just words. So far those aren’t any good.

As much as I dislike Fenty's methods, he gets results. Gray can't even decide on a main campaign topic. What is he going to do in office? I'm all for government officials being able to "hold hands" but results matter more. And if you think ANY successful politician isn't doing something shady, you haven't been around very long.

Thanks for picking up on 11 city councilors introducing the National Popular Vote bill and standing up for the principle that the candidate with the most votes should win our presidential elections. A vote in the District should count as much as a vote in Florida or Ohio. This bill would guarantee that - -and Gary Imhoff's wrong if he thinks that the District prefers being ignored in campaigns and elections where the national popular vote loser becomes president.
