“It’s an Abomination”: 11-Year-Old Westboro Baptist Protests Gay Marriage in D.C.
Where there is a chance to be offensive about gay people, the Westboro Baptist Church is there. The legalization of gay marriage in the District Wednesday was no different, with church members holding "God Hates Fags" signs and singing feces-themed variations on "This Little Light of Mine."
City Desk talked to 11-year old church member Noah Phelps-Roper about gay marriage, what he does when he's not protesting, and how his classmates react to his hateful hobby.

Thank you, Sarah. And if we are doomed, why would they care? With those horribly evil signs and hate-filled yelling, how many of "the gays'" minds do you think you are changing? For that matter, how many straights' (who didn't think that way on their own) minds have they influenced? Or are they only contented in sending all the gays to hell? Outside of causing a scene, what are they accomplishing? And I mean REALLY accomplishing?

LOL! Biblical scholars are all over WCP today. Yes Soddom and Gommorah were destroyed. But, what folk don't realize about that story is that there was this guy Lot whom was told by the Angels of God that if a righteous man can be found, the land wouldn't be destroyed. A church who celebrating a non-repented criminal and adulter into the house of GOD. A church which has paintings of black leaders behind the alter of GOD as if to worship them, Exodus, 20:3 "You shall not have no other gods before me". The "devil child" is entitled to the same degree of free speech you are. Any obscenity or coarse word you use against the church is also protected. Heck, the freedom to assemble in a church or on a sidewalk in front of the courthouse is protected. Geez. Folks can disagree amicably.

Q- they protesters wants Gays to die, plain and simple. Rick's responses are tamed compared to some of the vitrolic speech spewed by these protesters. And he's right to question what the hell an 11 year-old is doing during a school day promoting such hateful behaviour. @Adrian, I get it, but...not all "Bible Thumpers" support an 11-year old kid with a sign that says "God Hates Fags" either. Hate is an absolute word. So to say God Hates Fags means there is no room for redemption, if said "Fag" chooses a heterosexual lifestyle. Love is an absolute word too. Hence why you can't UNLOVE someone. Either way, "devil boy" and his homeschooling has a right to protest.

As far as a right of free speech, you know the old saying, "You can't yell fire in a crowded theather!", well it applies here as well. What if some simple minded fool takes the message to heart, "God Hates Fags" and goes out with his gun and kills gay people in a gay bar, or on our own, 17th street. See that's a risk that I am not willing to take!
What pisses me off as well is that these creatures and their fucked-up church has tax exempt status!
