The Corcoran Gallery of Art’s director of finance, David Dorsey, was found dead on Saturday at his Adams Morgan home.

D.C. police said Dorsey’s body was found naked on the balcony of his residence in the 2300 block of 17th Street NW.

Homicide detectives are looking into the case, but it’s not clear if Dorsey was a victim of foul play, as police are waiting on the results of an autopsy.

The Corcoran released a statement on Monday saying Dorsey had died but didn’t provide details.

“For more than five years, David served the Corcoran with great dedication and enthusiasm,” Paul Greenhalgh, director and president of the Corcoran, said. “His vibrant personality and spirited sense of humor brought endless enjoyment to the institution.”

An obituary in the Martinsburg, W.Va., Journal said Dorsey was 55 and is survived by two sons, his mother, and a brother.
