@HTS- Because it's wrong for teachers to have sex with high school students.
@noodlez- Whether he is legally required to is beside the point to me. If I were him, I would be eager to clear my good name. Hell, he could probably sue the city if he were clean of this. The fact that he doesn't seem to want to is curious.

Rez, I got ya but this morning on the news I heard that MPD and the US Attorney's office were unable to substantiate claims, so why would DCPS who again does not have the capacity or authority to press on with criminal investigations...well continue to press on????

THESE DAYS A LOT OF "SPECIAL NEEDS" CHILDREN ARENT REALLY SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN. THEY ARE LABELED THAT WAY BECAUSE THEY HAVE DIFFICULTY LEARNING THE OLD-FASHION WAY.

It was refered to MPD. They lacked grounds to arrest him as the student was 18 at the time and rape was not alleged.
I'm glad someone is concerned about reports of teachers having sex with special needs students. The teacher should take and release the results of the paternity test, if that's all it would take to clear his name.

DCPS is conducting its own investigation????? Since when does DCPS have the capacity or staff to conduct investigations that are criminal in nature? When it comes to drugs, weapons, corporal punishment or sex with a student aren't investigations turned over to local law enforcement and the US Attorney's office?

Michelle Rhee now you and your overpaid and underexperienced 12 year old ex-Teach for America recruits are playing cop too?

Mike--the teacher in question, who allegedly got the special needs student pregnant IS STILL EMPLOYED AS A TEACHER WITHIN DCPS!!! Does anyone need anymore evidence that the RIF was bogus???
