George Michael was a funny and gifted sports reporter. I loved watching him on the News4 sports report as well as his many many shows (Sports Machine, Redskins Report, and others). When he left News4; it was a sad day. Today is an even sadder day. He will truly be missed! The sports world has lost an icon!

Michael was a terrific Top 40 DJ on WABC-AM in New York in the mid-70s.

George & I used to go to the same dentist in Spring Valley. He was a good man & a good communist. He was always friendly to everyone he met. He made a ton of money but gave most of it away. He entertained the masses, but also enlightened them at the same time, raising their collective consciousness & having fun at the same time.

    That's George's obit, & it'll probably be mine as well. Bye-bye.
