Lines have been drawn in the sand and folks either like or hate the Mayor. That he has polarized the city unnecessarily is going to hurt him badly.

Actually to me the results of the poll were pretty much a duh!

Many of us including myself wanted Mayor Fenty in office. Although I worked with MAyor Williams. I and others wanted someone who would continue with his engine like way of running the district (which we mistakenly thought was a no brainer) and add a human element.

Not only was Fenty not that human element we were looking for he was the sum of every negative quality of all the previous mayors. He was aloof (Williams), took part in croynism (Barry) and incopetent to the core (Kelly).

He closed shelters, fired vast employees (people only remember the teachers), blew budgets, and fell out of compliance with federal dollars. The only thing he was faithful to is his press schedule.

The Fenty administration thinks good pr replaces good government. And worst he woefully does not understand that is not all it takes. Articles can be written ALONE about how many former straigth out of college --assistant to the assistant he has promoted to heads of department--to the detriment of the organization. He just does not understand what is at stake.

If you pussies in DC want a vote, shut down traffic every afternoon. In two weeks you'll have full rights.
