Peapod Listens to its Customers
At least, that's the lesson that I took away from Sunday's grocery delivery from the Giant Food-associated service.
Quick background: In a post last week, I noted how Peapod was using more plastic bags than could ever be environmentally excusable, and included a picture of a small, Pillsbury processed food product that came in its very own full-size plastic shopping bag:

Then came Sunday, and a fresh Peapod delivery. Here's, in part, what we found:

Actually, that may be simply product-related: nothing in your second bag looks as likely to cause the mess those refrigerator rolls will if their can explodes.

Next, how about reusable bags?? They could get some sort of bag exchange going, where when they drop off your new groceries, they pick up the reusable bags from the previous week. Who needs all this plastic?
