Really bad judgment, but, it isn't exactly $82 million dollars given to questionably qualified construction managers. I hear Sinclair Skinner, Fenty frat boy, has a engineering company certified in the District. Yet, the man has no engineering credentials; a fundamental requirement for principles technical fields.

Strings were pulled, who pulled them?

All good questions' Truth Hurts. I can't see this story going very far for some reason. It seems like small beans, but who knows what else the inquiry minds of a journalist will uncover.

Seems like someone is trying to force Gray into campaign mode, or at least to announce whether or not he is going to run for Mayor. If I were him, for now I'd let the Mayor continue to campaign against himself. He doesn't need an opponent to create bad press, he does it all by himself, at least once per week.

I had a door replaced. It was over $200. Perhaps there is a different fee for work not done in apartments, but I want to start getting Gray rate.

Rez- Who really gives a shit. Even if he got a hook-up on this from WCS, this is a long way off the multi-million dollar contracts Fenty has given his frat buddies. $86 million to Karim, $11 million to Lommax, God knows how much to Skinner.

When did WT begin investigating?
When was the invoice generated and submitted?
When was the invoice paid?

Electrical work requires a DCRA permit.
Exterior electrical work requires a DDOT PS permit.

You're right - I have to point to hunter-gatherers. The "lone wolf" man died. Being ostracized was a death sentence. Today it's even worse. If everyone had to go completely off network, 99.9% of people would die in two weeks, die of starvation. "Social-ism" is inborn in people. We are social from the moment we start kicking in the mom's womb & stay social for the rest of our short, pathetic lives. People just want rewards. Cash money, employee of the month, just a little pin or badge - people love that stuff. So just substitute sex for money & we'll have plenty of "entrepreneurial" behavior. Money & sex already go together. And fame is a great reward. Instead of publicizing nitwits like that Palin creature, have worker heroes publicized. & simple things like, "today's Metro ride is brought to you by Comrade Al Gonzalez, philosopher of the month". Then I get sex with Kate Moss. I'd do anything for that experience.

I have no idea whether Gray did anything wrong. but I do know that Fenty and Rhee have done many, many questionable things with public money, including lying about budgets, hiring friends, and using police protection for bike rides. LL, while I'll agree that this deserves coverage, please find out how this story broke. there's no doubt that this has something to do with the Fenty machine.

Wow, so I think Gray gonna run for Mayor. There is no way this stuff has been suddenly uncovered. I think Fenty's begun digging. Gray, for whatever its worth, is as stand of a person as there is. I think this might have been an occasion where he showed poor judgment, but compared to Fenty's numerous and continuing amounts of mini-scandals, this is nothing.
