Sosa’s Whitening: “I Don’t Think I Look Like Michael Jackson”
Speaking of rewhitening D.C. Public Schools, what's with Sammy Sosa's new face? The one he brought along to last week's Latin Grammy awards in Las Vegas.
Thankfully, it's all clear now, this question of whether Sosa is trying to lighten his skin.
He told the Spanish-language Univision this week that he is indeed using a "bleaching" product, but only in the name of softening his skin. He is getting older, you know. "It's a cream that I have, that I use to soften, but has bleached me some. I'm not a racist, I live my life happily," he said.
He added: "I don't think I look like Michael Jackson."
The latest report has Sosa planning to endorse the cream and market it in the U.S. and South America.

Yeah right, I'm all for live and let live, but to succomb to "the bullshit" is another issue, let's weigh the factors; skin bleaching cream, steroid use, public pressure, green eyecontacts and permed hair = SELF HATE

It is weird. Some black people whiten; almost all white people tan to look darker. People want what they don't have. Opposites attract. Look at Seal & Heidi. People with curly hair want straight hair, & vice versa. It's what makes the world go round. Mix up those genes, people.
That said, Sammy is crazy. He looked better the old way.

Sammy Sosa as most Afro Latinos want to be a white Latino to be accepted by white America. Do you remember Desi Arnez aka Ricky Ricardo. Desi was a white Cubano who married a white woman Lucille Ball back in the 40's. A black Latino like Sammy wouldn't have been able to marry a white women back in the 40's in Cuba or in the United States. Somebody please tell this black Hispanics, they are Negroes too. Hispanic is not a race of people.

I dont think white people tan to look dark necessarily, they tan for a so-called "rosy" healthy look. Pale looks sickly to our pro california, pro Hollywood society.
Its such a dramatic change in color- he looks sick.

As Mr. T would say, "I pity the fool!" Sammy was brown and beautiful, now he's off-white and ghostly.
