Wow, Ward4.
That does sound utopian. Tell me, will Leo rewrite all DC and applicable Federal law to make his utopian vision a reality?

I like Leo Alexander's stance on gay marriage. As a gay person, I find the idea intriguing and probably the most equal of all solutions. Specifically, the government should only recognize "civil unions" for both opposite-sex and same-sex couples. A civil union would entitle any couple to the exact same benefits regardless of gender. Churches can perform "marriages," which the government would not recognize. Marriages would only be for religious purposes and would not entitle anyone to any benefits. I think this solution is perfect and clearly seperates church and state the way it should be.

Your criticism of Barbara Hollingsworth is way off base, but the comment about Tea Baggers was almost funny.

It's obvious by your post that you really don't understand the issues involved. I would suggest going to the DOL website to read up on Labor Condition Applications. H-1B visas can be issued for 3 to 6 years. The LCA lists the starting date and an ending date of 3 years, and a 3 year extension can be added. What that means is that the foreign teachers for the LCAs for 2007 and 2008 are still working in DC -- and they were hired after hundreds of teachers were fired. Qualified Americans were replaced by foreign workers but you are welcome to call it whatever you want.

I have written three recent blogs. I urge you to read them and all the links before you criticize journalists like Hollingsworth that have the courage to speak the truth.

And, if it makes you feel any better I will be attending a Tea Bag Party in downtown Phoenix on Saturday.

ABC's...Mike D, did you think that up yourself? Put that in white writing on some green T-shirts and I know a few places that would sell. Most notably the RIF'ed Teachers who were responsible for teaching kids the other ABC's. LOL!
