Our vacant schools have been sold to the developers with the highest bid. Our playgrounds have been dangerouly turned into doggy parks. Our Parks and Recreations Child Care Center have been axed and 160 employees laid off. Our citizens and neighbors have been priced out of their communities and neighborhoods by condos and high rent apartment complexes that the middle can't afford. Our unemployment rate is 11%. The US Marshall office are evicting families over (25) families a day throughout the District of Columbia. Our shelters are full and families are living out of storage spaces that they are suppose to use to storage their funiture after an eviction. Our child care centers waiting list to place children are unthinkale, unheard of and unimageable. Downtown with hundreds of thousands homeless people on the streets is beginning to look like a third world country. The homeless budget was cut 20 million dollars. Where do we go from here community or chaos? Why have we come to such a time as this? The Mayor has proven to the Citizens of this great city that is anti-family, anti-citizens and anti-voters.

I got poll #1 last night. The introduction put Fenty in the best light possible; I assume his interests financed it. I was then asked if I supported his re-election -- essentially in the abstract. I said I couldn't answer without knowing who might run against him.
