Is Kevin Chavous Running for Something?

Former Ward 7 Councilmember Kevin Chavous was back in the news yesterday, leading a civil disobedience effort aimed at restoring D.C.'s federally funded voucher program. As WJLA-TV reported, Chavous showed up at Department of Education headquarters with a retinue that included council candidate Anthony Motley and kids holding colorful signs bearing such slogans as "We want a chance to succeed!"

That's cool, but "KEVIN CHAVOUS...A leader for D.C.'s kids"? Laid out to look like a campaign sign? Someone must miss public office...

Kevin Chavous was good friends with the council member Johnny Wilson, (you know the guy who hung a rope around his own neck and left the city in deep debt, but fools like Chavous helped name a building after Johnny boy)frankly we have had enough of his kind who adore themselves too much.

He's a former councilman that has a passion for education. Can he not push his education objectives without running for public office?
