I was going to say "you're crazy, Angry Al", but then I read the latest from Paul Craney, and now I find Angry Al's alternative to the Democratic Party intriguing and wish to subscribe to his newsletter.

Go Communist if you want the vote. The Communist Party will give everyone full rights.

Vote for Popular Front candidates & we will put a Communist in charge of the District, comrades. A DC Communist Commissar will force the USA to give us full rights. We will secede from the Union & plead our case at the World Court. We will place tollbooths on the Key Bridge, the Chain Bridge, the Roosevelt, Memorial & 14th Street Bridges, & all the other bridges & charge $6 to come into town, just like New York City charges. In San Francisco, it’s $10 plus a two-drink minimum.

Plus, if you want to stick it to the man, well, there’s not much better than being a Communist. The man knows that the Communists will take away all his money, will nationalize his bank, will nationalize his factory, etc. etc.

The Communist Party did a great job running many cities in Italy’s Red Belt; e.g., Bologna had communist local government for decades. The Bolognese Communists governed well, & helped the people with good subsidized housing, mass transit, free health care, schools, etc.

We will do the same in the District. Go Red! Vote Communist-Popular Front in 2010!

Too bad. Think what you will of the AG, it would still be nice to be able to prosecute locally and not have to rely on the Feds taking an interest.
