I was wrong on this one - the Cheap Ass Lerner Family coughed up $15 million to sign this kid. Surprise, surprise. I'm sure it hurt them more than it hurt me.

I have more certainty in my second & third points - the kid will never be a good big league pitcher. No all star games, no 15 or 20 victory seasons, not even a great single game. No, the kid will win 30 to 40 games over eight or ten years, & go back to Tennessee will his millions from the Lerners. MLB draft choices are not guaranteed success - & the # 1 pitcher almost never makes an impact.

See, the Lerners are like a lot of cheap ass people: they get so used to penny pinching, that when a time comes to spend big money, they invariably waste it. This will be seen as a perfect illustration - instead of spending $15 million on a couple above average MLB veteran pitchers, the Lerners throw $15 million to some prospect who has shown exactly nothing.

My third point - the Nationals will never win a division title, never win anything. After 40 years of failure, the franchise will move to London & become the British Redcoats, & the Lobsterbacks will then win six straight world series titles.
