Did you only read every other word of the Phelps section, Jamie? Here's a sentence from the post, which--if read in its entirety--pretty much says what you just said to me (albeit in a way that doesn't make me feel like shit):

"It’s an important story because Michael Phelps is A FAMOUS SWIMMER AND IMPORTANT YOUNG MAN"

I wrote that last bit in all-caps, Jamie. In the blogging world this is as emphatic as one can be.

SHOULD I POST AN MP3 OF ME SCREAMING THE PHELPS SECTION? MAYBE UPLOAD IT TO iTUNES SO YOU CAN LISTEN TO IT WHILE YOU BIKE TO WORK?

Umm, really? You are surprised that a very very famous person who's been outed as a party animal got in a car accident and there was A STORY ABOUT IT that discussed the possibility of his being drunk? And there wasn't a similar story about a bunch of people NOBODY KNOWS who got in car accidents?
