True, CHOTR made the Round Up...whereas some folks still think that those folk who live "East of the Anacostia River" are illiterate. More diversity of article are needed from Wards 7 and 8 too. You'd think that "East of the Anacostia River" only consists of Anacostia, Congress Heights, Barry Farms, Deanwood, Randle or Washington Highlands (some folk don't know the difference) and Ft. Dupont Park. There are many more neighborhoods that are being underreported.

BTW, I'm sorry but I can't get with the River East nomenclature. There's no River North, River South, or River West.

Just so the readers know, East of the Anacostia River consists of the following neighborhoods...

Ward 7
Benning Heights
Benning Ridge
Benning
Burrville
Capitol View
Civic Betterment
Deanwood
Dupont Park
Eastland Gardens
Fairfax Village
Fairlawn
Fort Davis
Fort Dupont
Good Hope
Grant Park
Greenway
Hillbrook
Hillcrest
Kenilworth
Kingman Park (although West of the River, in Ward 7 too)
Lincoln Heights
Mahaning Heights
Marshall Heights
Mayfair
Naylor Gardens
Penn Branch
Randle Highlands
River Terrace
Skyland
Summit Park
Twining

Ward 8
Anacostia
Barry Farm
Bellevue
Buena Vista
Congress Heights
Douglass
Fairlawn
Garfield Heights
Knox Hill
Shipley Terrace
Washington Highlands
Woodland

@ Q it's not about Fenty it is about sharing any River East news...especailly positive River East news and sometimes it's thin. The RE blogs are definetly trying to do their part by reporting RE news and perspectives but there is definetly a need for more attention to Wards 7 and 8. The blogs can only do so much and lets be honest - we are novices (hence I take my spanking with a smile) we can't totally fill the information void.

I am going to look on the positive side - CHOTR made the Round Up! lol.

Wow, The Advoc8te...way to suck up to Cherkis on this one. I wouldn't post ANY of Fenty's press releases because even the basic ones are filled with propaganda, photo ops, and him taking undue credit.

Thanks for the suggestion/spanking? :) FYI - whenever I post anything on my blog that I did not write myself (such as press releases that are emailed mailed to me on such a regular basis I am drowing in them) then I always post it in Arial font so my readers know it came from somewhere else but to eliminate confusion I will totally source press releases from now on. :) Article sources were always sourced press releases admitedtly it gets kind of foggy. :)
