A Lot of Revisionist History Going On!
George W. Bush spent his last couple years in office saying that history will show that attacking Iraq wasn't an error.
Crazy talk, you say? Well, not if the official scorekeepers working the Nats/Marlins series in Miami are historians.
On Tuesday night, Ryan Zimmerman was charged with three errors -- a third baseman's shat trick, you could say. But before yesterday's game, scorekeepers officially changed one of Zimmerman's three boo-boos to a hit. The revised ruling apparently holds that the Marlins' Hanley Ramirez would have beaten out the ground ball to Zimmerman even if the Nats' Face of the Franchise hadn't bobbled and thrown the ball over 1B Nick Johnson's head.
Zimmerman thanked the revisionist scorekeepers for their gift by cleanly fielding the first ball hit his way in last night's game and throwing it over Johnson's head.
Hans Blix had no comment.
