The quote "make the BET Awards looks like Shakespeare in the park." that was hilarious. Thanks for that Daddy Grace Fish Sandwich. Considering the cacophony I saw Sunday Night, that is saying a lot. What a way to memorialize Michael Jackson. I hope I'm never a subject to be memorialized at the BET Awards.

Mr. Hense, might I suggest that you hire a public relations consultant or communications staffer to help you with both written and verbal responses to the public. Quite frankly you're begining to make the BET Awards looks like Shakespeare in the park.

Mr. Hense, by what do you mean, "that formerly were the paths to the middle class that were disrupted when crack devastated our communities." ?

I think more buy-in of this takeover is needed. In essence, if your attitude and program does not garner the confidence of the community, parents may not send their children there. What's going to be done about the violence, DC CAS scores, etc.? What aggressive reforms are you going to put in place so that Anacostia doesn't repeat the trend that got you there in the first place?

You reported a statement purportedly made by me at a meting on Anacostia High School. It was first reported by someone named Candi Peterson of Washington Teacher. The statement is factually incorrect and philosophically juxtaposed to my fundamental beliefs as a human being. Quite simply her statement is untrue.

In discussing the selection of programs Friendship hopes to offer to the students of Anacostia, I stated that we chose programs that formerly were the paths to the middle class that were disrupted when crack devastated our communities. Friendship would like to offer programs that open those fields once again. Friendship is an integral part of Ward Eight and the lives of its residents. more than 550 children attend out school in the Ward. additional ones will be attending our new school to open in August. more than 700 children leave Ward eight everyday to attend our schools in Wards Five, Six and Seven. We are clearly invested in the success of all children and their families.
