By the time it gets built, the convention center itself will be far down the road to White Elephanthood -- National Harbor has really upped the ante for local conventions (and our last Convention Center was obsolete within 20 years even without that pressure). And given that the immediate area isn&#039;t an attractive one to tourists, re-selling a huge hotel located next to a dying convention center is not a promising prospect.
