Cyclists: Completely Rule Out Being Cool Forever This Weekend
This Sunday I will be attending the Cirque du Cyclisme in Leesburg. Cirque du Cyclisme is French for "I am bald and I take pictures of chain guards when I am on vacation." Here's one I took in Spain:
Sweet, huh? I'm going on Sunday for the swap meet, where I will ogle handmade seat lugs with integrated cable hangers, leather chain guards, and generator light systems. Maybe I'll try to find someone who can make handlebars like the ones I saw on one of the Wright Bros.' bikes at Air & Space last weekend.
Oh my God Sunday is gonna rule.

Not uncool, just two steps ahead of cool.
I read about that on the velo orange blog and I'd have been there too, if I could.

City Paper needs a bike blog.

I agree w/ Downtown Rez; you're ahead of the cool curve because you like weird stuff.
Now talk about uncool. I just had to put a light on my bicycle -- because the reflectors aren't cutting it anymore in my dark neighborhood. Plus, I have 50-year-old eyes now; Almost got killed last week.
Feel like I'm 6 again; only thing missing are the rainbow plastic streamers coming out of my handles.
Seriously, though, I had to research which lights are best to buy, like LED vs. tungsten filament lamps. Who knew? I found good info in an article on bikepartsplace.com. The article link is attached for anybody who's in the same situation as me: http://www.bikepartsplace.com/articles/bike-lighting-why-is-it-so-an-important-accessory-part/
