Seriously though, I'm almost starting to become numb about Mayor Fenty and his foibles. If he's not firing someone, he's making jerk out of himself at a press conference, or abusing his executive privileges (most recently with the "friend" being his chauffer). My numbness doesn't mean I'm ignoring it, it just means that the probablility that he will "do right" by anyone is dimishing. He has failed to be a good leader, so the citizens have to WAIT their turn to get him out.

Which reminds me, isn't it a little presumptuous for a politician to claim a project that we tax payers PAID for? I say call the Pool Heater the "People's Heater at East Potomac", and install one promptly at the Banneker, Rosedale, Upshur, etc. outdoor pools. No longer should us citizens accept exothermic body heat as a substitute.

Dave, I wish you success at Upshur. The pool and facilities have been subpar since the 80's. Even with the renovations and new paint job, certain things remain.
