Uulie: the developer, Vornado, has been pretty particular about that date, and consistently so at ANC and other community meetings. We keep a close eye on the construction schedule, and they have said that delivery of the new building will be in March, 2010, but that the Safeway will open in May, 2010. Maybe we should average your info and mine to get nearer to reality...?

The target date for the completion of the new Safeway Store at Waterfront Station in SW is May 2010. Vornado?Charles E. Smith, of the development team, reports that the current phase of their project at Waterfront Station is on schedule.
