Okay - unless your stupid we all know the Examiner is a product of a right wing christian fanatic. Im no fan of Barry but they will never show respect to a liberal elected or non elected official. They got bible on the brain and its disturbing in this day and age.
I agree with J., the paper's conservative base plays out strong in its national news coverage and editorial page. Just not sure if the bias manifests locally. I think some of their reporters do a good job--a great job even--covering local politics. But, Jaffe's piece on Barry was all rehash and the headline was lame. The illo was really crazy to me.
Can someone explain to me why Washington D.C. needs two right-of-center dailies?
To cover the local news. WaPo doesn't do it, and CP cuts and pastes and then comments from other sites (for the most part). I think their politics and hideous grammatical mistakes are there for everyone to see, and I don't agree with them, but who else is gonna cover the local news?

They are crazy to put an ethnic elected official with overdistorted features including bigger lips and exaggerated slopes.
CRAZY!

Nah, that's much ado about nothing.

I agree with City Desk. I am no Barry fan, but a normal photo would have been more appropriate.

What's an illo?

Illo: n. Journoslang for "illustration"

Dave: Do you know anyone that reads the Washington Times?

At least they're not calling his walk a "pimp strut."
