   The photo is as much an existential masterpiece as its subject. The newspaper creeping into the left side suggests a forcible shift in priority---"to hell with the news, this is what's REALLY going on"---while the urgently opposing angles of newspaper, note, coffee filter, and photograph itself finds all of the above hurtling toward an inevitable, and surely world-altering, collision. A remarkable achievement by a relative outsider to the visual arts.
