DC has been so safe with the gun laws? Well with out them may be it will be safer for the people. Take out of the bill of rights what you don't want then you will lose those that you do.

Mendo has gone off the deep end. Seriously. He is now just trying to cover his a$$ for his TOTAL screw up on the gun laws.

For the record, you could register "assault weapons" up until last year. Were they a problem? No, because these types of weapons are used in less than 2% of all crimes.

If we lose this chance for the vote, it is his hand the Council's fault.

The waiting is over... District residents can rest. We all now know that Mendo is against the gun amendment.

Maybe if actually allowed law abiding citizens to obtain access of a firearm and not insult the Supreme Court's decision, we wouldn't be in this mess. Really, he could have single handily set us back for a long time.
