The news here is that the HIV rate has gone down!

A few years ago,the Post highlighted an article from Appleseed that said the rate was 1 in 20 which is equal to 5%. A 3% rate would actually be a DECLINE of 40%.

Yeah, I got the implied "and" there too - as in West Africa AND Kenya and Uganda. Hmmm...re: WW, well, I think that is you being generous. I'm wondering just how familiar Darryl is with Washington, DC. Not to be able to recall the correct name "Whitman Walker" just made me raise up and ask myself that. Anyone who's been here even just two or three years knows of WW, right?

Fred---in fairness the Whitman in Whitman Walker _is_ Walt Whitman as memory serves, so he wasn't wrong exactly...

As for Dr. Hader's quote, I don't think you say that she was implying that Uganda and Kenya are in west Africa. Seems to me she just mentioned west Africa then moved on to a couple of other countries. Or maybe not.

Respons -- "WEST AFRICA"? Uganda and Kenya are clearly not in WEST Africa -- check it out on google maps if you don't believe me. Exactly how long did she live in Africa? Not long enough!
