@IMGoph I'm all for actually using GeoPet, as it's less mouthy than the full name of the stop. And I'd tolerate all the scorn doing so would earn me from people who aren't too lazy/busy to say the whole name of the Metro stop.

Awesome. Though it's going to be hard for anyone to top the brilliant "BloMi," GeoPet is pretty funny. I would like to propose "NoHo" for the enclave of Shaw between Howard University and U Street, roughly bordered by Florida Avenue, Rhode Island Avenue and 9th Street. I think it meets the irony requirement.
