I was downtown yesterday (outside the security area unfortunately, they cut off access to the Lincoln because it was already full when I got there) and yes there were long lines at the food tents, but that was to be expected, right? I heard there were 500,000 people on the Mall. I waited approximately 45 minutes for hot chocolate and a hot dog and I didn't think the prices were out of line compared to the museums and other major events.
