Dude... if the Secret Service cuts my bike lock I'm going to be super pissed. Can they do that? I'm not asking from a legal standpoint - the Secret Service can do just about anything they please legally - but from a practical standpoint. Do Secret Service agents go around carrying U-Lock cutting equipment?

As long as you are outside of the secure area you can lock your bike up whereever you want. You just wont have someone watching it. Nor will you get a cool spoke card and valet ticket.

Darrow, Definitely a good question. Mesias said that "[without a bike valet station]there might be a lot of people parking their bikes in places they shouldn't and getting their bike locks cut by Secret Service." But don't know for sure. I'll ask around.

Yeah that's a great question. What if I lock up my own bike to a pole or a tree or something? Will something happen to my bike?
