Public Education doesn't need a cause of freeze up and delays in forward progress with the disruptive, disorganized confusion !We're looking for a confidence generating building system. Hire a personal effectiveness coach ! Don't touch the ruby shoes or your fingers will catch on fire and that broom will go up in smoke! Don't pick on the school teachers unfairly. Alleged discrinimation to push your political agenda of broom sweeping changes under NCLB unfunded ! Get the flying monkies out of here ! Publish the philanthropy tax credits and educational tax credits ! We see your formula ! Check ! Rook to King and knight after queen ! Emergency legislative support ?Straighten out what the judge said on the Special Education program and get your top administration organized and buildings operationally stabilized with resources and support.1969 & 1982 Sullivan on discrimination retaliation ? Pay attention to what you don't see before tax payers are paying for a class action law suit !First it's declare DC a state of emergency in an economic crisis as if issues are isolated to just DC schools with 10% and increased accountability with NCLB.
Happy Holidays and thanks for the update as 1.4 million members with the AFT and educators are watching Rhee reform like hawks. Beautiful picture of the Mayor Fenty and family. It appears that evidence is being gathered and evaluated viewing discriminatory effect concerning teachers placed on 90 day action plans. Principles alleged, capricious and arbitrary intent to falisifing formal performance assessments PPEP documents evaluating teachers in an effort to enforce top down accountability mandates.Alleged an agenda per Rhee with the support of Mayor Fenty, is moving foward with plan B. The direction is to seek federal emergency legislation to empower the city to bypass Constitutional Basis Article 1 Section 6,The right of the employee by and through a labor organization,to bargain collectively shall not be denied or abridged.Alleged principles report being instructed to "lie" in their teacher observations about what is taking place during a structured lesson. To confirm one principle at Patterson Elementary school resigned in opposition to these unethical practices. Roger that ! Exhaustion of impasse proceedures appeard to have moved from collective bargaining to crisis bargaining or also known as impact bargaining.Has the arbitrator decided grievance determined provisions the parties are to have in agreement for Rhee to move foward to plan B ? What is the status of the Abolishment Statute DC code 8 1-624-08 Code & 1-624-08,docket no. 07-581 ? Office of Employee Appeals has exclusive juisdiction over unions' claims appeal. Showing for appeals, "unfair application of the rules". Has this been heard ? Are guidelines per the courts to delineate tenure provisions ? Do the teachers under contract still have ligitmate claim of entitlement to job tenure viewing conflicting standards of review ? The WTU says, yes they do ! Linking teacher bonuses to student test scores and other incentive-pay provisions under Pl 107-110 a law unfunded.NCLB research shows unrealistic mandates under NCLB for resources not met.For Rhee to impose extreme unrealistic mandates appears more of the same continuative, conscious shocking, administrative disorganization viewing the strategic planning approach of Rhee reform with question of administrative direction and remedy. It's amazing the educational refomers don't have a school system audit published for public accountability. We would appreciate viewing their results, operations budget consolidated and progress from the top down with all aspects of school system, for tax payer transparancy and accountability and educational reform results clarified. Is the budget driven from the bottom up to support? NCLB testing created high costs and administrative challenges that have caused some states to abandon their performance assessments for machine scored multiple choice. Many states adopt tests that are less expensive to score from using such assessments. In fact,Connecticut sued the federal government for the funds needed to maintain its sophisticated performance. Dept.said drop the test.See video,The Forum for Education and Democracy for programs and educational direction. Dr. Woods,Linda Darling Hammond and others are making sense with educational reform as we all review with NCLB in reauthorization. NCLB has narrowed the curriculum and funding tops the biggest problems for the sixth year in a row. Hopefully, moving foward with project based learning and authlentic assessment meaningful and connected.See PISA and TIMSS viewing Finland and Sweden rankings and don't give standardized tests until a student is in HS. They say it takes all the fun out of learning and are soaring past the US in results. The US ranked 19th out of 40 countries. 19th in reading,20th in science and 28th in math. Respecting provisions to improve the quality and distribution of the teaching force but being threatening and discriminatory creats an environment of poor team work, lack of coorporation, complaints and conflict, rejection back stabbing gossip, lack of communication controlling and disrespectful. Most importantly a school climate that is less than positive and ineffective for results. Discrimination in Public Education is not acceptable and we have federal laws to protect if proven. Hire ,train and support ! GS 115C-321."End the mandates on NCLB,it's not working!" HC Would challenge testing corporations to provide more oversight and especially under NCLB. What's going on with the judge and two attorneys evaluating two montha ago, GS 94-142,FAPE in the special education department with this the DC school system ? How is the millions paid back per reports for medicaid ,due to paper work going ? pay attention to what you don't see. You can't always stop it,prove it or see it but if you ignor it even the hint of discriminatory behavior, all suffer in the long run. Low morale, employee conflicts and law suits the DC system does not need to spend. Title VII of Civil Rights Act 1964 prohibits discrimination. Roudolph with your nose so bright, guide us through this storm for flight.Happy Holidays !
