Mika Brzezinski Mugged in D.C.!
WTOP reports that Mika Brzezinski, the coolest thing about MSNBC's "Morning Joe," was mugged this morning outside a D.C. hotel. She was heading to interview Mayor Fenty about the inauguration:
"Without naming the hotel, her co-host Joe Scarborough blasted D.C. on the show the two co-host, 'Morning Joe.'
The mugging, Brzezinski says, happened as she waited for a car to pick her up for the 6 a.m. broadcast. She says she was embarrassed by what happened and complained the bell desk should have been paying attention.
Brzezinski gave the mugger the $6 in cash she had on her, although he asked for $20.
Fenty, who was on the show to talk about the inauguration, assured her the matter would be investigated."

Scarborough is such a douche though... Just because you are famous does not exempt you from the ills of society. Every city has lots of muggings in this economy.

I was put in a bearhug outside of CVS by a homeless guy once. He took off with $1 dollar. I never even called it a mugging or officially reported it - just a run by hugging.
This sounds like a case of aggressive panhandling. My guess is the 4 Seasons, bunch of nut jobs hanging out over there at all hours these days.

It wasn't a mugging it was a panhandler getting aggressive with Mika. She likes to exaggerate the story for attention. Just watch the show one time you will see while Joe is having a conversation with someone and the camera is on him and he is looking at the person he is speaking with you will see Mika starring at the camera so everyone can see her. She is always letting her phone go off and saying sorry its my daughter...Duh Mika you ever heard of putting your phone on vibrate?? She definitely isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Obviously her Daddy's name got her a good job and her looks keep her in center stage, but its only when she open her mouth is when people find this out! I think Sara Palin and Mika are related.
