"I've got a lot of fat on my legs. (Pause) Do you like eighties music?"
--Two guys getting to know each other at the gym

"Believe it or not, Consuela has permission to sleep at her desk."
--One annoyed office worker to another on the Metro

"I'm going to go see Obama get sworn in. I'll quit my job if I have to, I don't care. I'm going to the inoculation!"
--Angry woman on cellphone, 7-11 on 7th and Rhode Island Avenue NW
