		<description>“Movies, music, clothes, technology, food, cars..” is all good and well yet on the other hand, when one considers the absurdity of George W and friends’ ascend to power on two(!) consecutive occasions, de facto dictatorship of the executive branch,  the encroaching socialism for the well off and free enterprise for everyone else, while nobody seems to give a damn, one must admit something is seriously off on the mass scale.   Can it be that the Guardian article is more about this particular discrepancy rather than a broad characterization of Americans as idiots?</description>
