Paul Strauss is a good guy who has worked hard for DC. If he is guilty remember everyone makes mistakes. He works hard for good causes and rarely gets credit.

It seems like Strauss wants to be famous for being the first DC Senator. He is very arrogant and acts like laws do not apply to him because he is a shadow senator.
Strauss wants to recieve credit for helping DC obtain voting rights even though groups like DC Vote do all the hard work and provide all the money for the movement. Eugine Kinlow shoud have ran against the Shadow Senator so DC would have been represented with real honesty, integrity and experience. DC needs someone who will represent it, not another erogant politician seeking to become famous for something that so many other people have worked for.
Also, What kind of example is this for DC kids? Politicians are suppose to uphold and follow the law. Politicians are not elected to endanger citizens on the road.
A shadow senator should not use their status to abuse power.

If he is convicted of this offense, the shadow senator should step down but who will appoint the next Senator? The Mayor or the Chairperson of the Council or the Chairperson DC Democratic State Committee? Or an expensive special election? Hmmm.....

Damn, where were the police when he pulled a u-ee on 13th onto Pennsylvania (yeah, you can't turn left there). I thought a DUI or DWI (what's the right phraseology here?) would mean a suspended license. Since the illegal (semi u-ee, more of an illegal left) turn happened last week, I'm more curious as to why he's driving around. Do defendants keep their license between arrest and then arrainment (for him the 6th of Nov)?
