Aviatrix lacked balance. The sci-fi scenes were great, the reality scenes were uncomfortably bad (or do you contend that a pouty-faced bore, who smokes when she has cancer–was that supposed to be edgy?–is the pinnacle of sophistication?)

As for collegehumor.com: I appreciate good film-making regardless of its culture rating. (Or do you contend that demanding of a festival film artsyness and entertainment value kills all signs of sophistication?)

I was there too and liked several films (Aviatrix, Offbeat, Last Yogurt). I think you need a little schooling in the art of filmmaking…especially if you feel qualified enough to write publicly about it.

Films that weren’t funny? Slow? “Who makes a period short film?”
