Carol has run city wide campaigns before for Mayor and almost won those. There is every reason to think she can win this. I think it is a great idea as her long history on the Council will be great missed. And the people who organized against her are people who would deny sick and annual leave of 3 days for the working poor? We need her.

I think Schwartz will get some non-Republican votes. She seemed relatively popular among the Democrats I talked to at my polling place in Ward 3.

Yeah, it seems like the big winner today is Brown. Mara (or alternatively, Schwartz) will need ever single Republican vote in November to overcome the Democrats-in-Independents clothing. Hmmmm, if only there were some system whereby the voter's preferences were "ranked" somehow. Hmmmm....

People should know when they are defeated. She stands absolutely no chance in winning this so why lose twice. Also Mara stands absolutely no chance in winning, so I dont know what she gains in this attempt.
