I think the Monaco has been in the Post travel Rolodex for awhile -- I have vague memories of being booked there by the company travel agents (Carlson Wagonlit at the time) years ago when I was in Denver on a plain old feature assignment.
Missed the massage, though. Is it too late for a do-over?

While Kimpton hotels might be small, they are certainly no less expensive. Hotel Palomar, Kimpton's hotel in Rosslyn, is about as frou-frou as they come. One night at the Palomar starts at $229 for a single room with a king bed.

BTW the Hotel Monaco is a Kimpton hotel and while nice, they really aren't the end all be all. They are smaller boutique hotels (note to City Paper, you have one right here in D.C.).
