Obama, McCain Offering Millions in Writing Contest
Well, actually, no. But somebody got the bright idea to create a writing contest based on spam subject lines, which have become oddly “newsy” of late. (”McCain to handle national security with his bare fists” is my current fave.) Weird Tales magazine is asking folks to write a story of 500 words or less based on one of those headlines; prizes mostly involve copies of Weird Tales, but still. You have until Monday, Aug. 4 to submit.
