i haven't taken the Bolt Bus or the MegaBus, but back in January I took Washington Deluxe from Dupont Circle to NY. It cost about $36/roundtrip. I bought the ticket about 4 days before I went up there. I tried to book a ticket on Bolt or Megabus last month two weeks before i was supposed to go, and it was going to be $35/roundtrip. Really, no bargain at all. I could drive there for less than that, and not have to deal with fighting for a seat away from the bathroom.

It's like a couple dollars cheaper than greyhound's efares. And greyhound has buses leaving to NY about every hour.

The days of cheap bus tickets to new york are over folks.
