I had hoped to see this covered by the local news on NBC but they didn’t mention it at all this morning. What a great opportunity to get the word out there, especially given the failure in the District payment system and the rejection by the Redskins.

They will be performing again tonight at 6:30 p.m. and I will be there with my checkbook to support these kids. As another poster said, we NEED to support those kids in our community who are doing something positive and constructive with their lives and time. It just blows my mind that the Redskins organization could not support them, especially as 2 Redskins players are being inducted. Just another reason (to an already l-o-n-g list) to dislike Dan Snyder.

C’mon DC residents there are at least 100 children who are in an activity of positive action. Let this energy be infectious, if everyone loves those “Skins” and then of course everyone loves a “Parade”…so why can’t this be a collective effort of where “Everybody loves Eastern” and support them to Canton, Ohio call 202-698-4500!!!!

With as many blogs as you have blog rolled (like mine), if they had a link to a pay pal site that went to the band, we could post the link and drive traffic to it. Perhaps we could raise enough to send them, but they need some donation link for that to happen.

So, here’s my question, do they have a donation link that we (me and others) can advertise?

These kids are awesome! They are truly one of the best bands on the east coast and it would be so cool to see them in Canton supporting the Skins. I hope they can get the funds to attend!
