		<description>I too have SD and we understand that some people are ignorant of the condition and also the effort that it takes to communicate. Diane Rehm is a perfect example of someone who perseveres in the face of adversity.  I think perhaps there is something to be learned from her in that regard.  There are people who get hung up on the voice disorder much like people don&#039;t understand people with foreign accents.  Hopefully that  person will be able to overcome their own disability and be more accepting.</description>

		<description>I too met Diane while working at WAMU. I saw both sides. If you were of the same opinion as her, you were fine, if you weren&#039;t, you were the enemy. She was the one who pushed for the hire of the former WAMU General Manager who was later ousted in a messy episode. But, either way making fun of her condition isn&#039;t cool.</description>
