I&#039;m one of those distance runners and I&#039;m constantly trying to get around pedestrians...it&#039;s actually easiest when pedestrians continue in their normal trajectories (rather than attempting to side-step or meander to one direction aimlessly) because that allows runners to know where you&#039;re going and thus to know how to run around you.  Sorry that runner was a bonehead and didn&#039;t get the whole running-etiquette thing.</description>
