I started wearing these things in my 11th year in High School. I got them from GoodWill. Soon I started seeing all these kids wearing them and everyone doing the same after that. Am I saying that I started a trend? Yes. Atleast at my old high school. The same with Vampire Weekend...anyway. My point:Don't walk a mile or more in these things, they will KILL your feet.

You know...some people actually know how to sail a boat and might use boat shoes in the proper scenery. What, are we supposed to bring a another pair of footwear for land?!

Boat shoes are classics and should be in every self confessed style monster's wardrobe. Just never with socks or in winter please!

I have my Topsiders on right now. The same ones pictured actually. I also rode to work today on my vintage bike 10-speed. Vampire Weekend's not to blame. Don Knotts on Three's Company is the more likely culprit. I'm getting a captain's hat next. Seriously.

In a year hipsters will be wearing cowboy boots, thinking they're so cool and original. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing boat shoes. Even flip flops are more punk.
