Thanks for the link on that NYT cookie piece, but now I&#039;ve gone and read it and I am not hungry, I&#039;m vexed. Why... Why must people yuppify the classic chocolate chip cookie? Sea salt? Really? Cake flour AND bread flour? They&#039;re not any good unless they&#039;re as big as a bike tire? When I finally get around to opening my cookie bakery it&#039;s going to buck all these ridiculous &quot;gourmet&quot; trends. You want a Toll House cookie, you get a perfectly made (according to the recipe on the bag) Toll House cookie, of human size. Peanut butter cookies made with Jif, snickerdoodles that do not require Chinese cinnamon. Cookies like mom makes. This article just makes me want to quit and finally open the thing. So thanks.</description>
