Update: SIX Flagging
Dan Snyder’s piteous theme park chain, Six Flags, is imploding as we speak.
The company announced this evening that Dwight Schar, Snyder’s partner in the Washington Redskins and in the investment group that took over the Six Flags board in 2005, has just dumped TWO MILLION of his Six Flags (SIX) shares.
“I very much believe in the Company, the management team and the extraordinary progress they are making in the turnaround,” Schar said in a press release announcing his huge Six Flags selloff.
We believe everything you say, Dwight!

You should do a blog about how the sky is blue Dave!
I mean, obviously this venture is not turning a profit.
GM stock is the lowest it’s been in a while as well.
So Dan is losing money on Six Flag, but has been successful in many other ventures.
Just remember, if you hate Dan Snyder so much, you could always be a Cowboy fan and go to Kings Dominion.

Snyder Losses:
Campus USA – Snyder lost $3 million of Mortimer Zuckerman’s money in 3 years, Campus USA closed down.
Six Flags – Closed at $1.15 today, too many problems including mismanagement. Schar doesn’t give Wall Street much confidence by dumping 2 million shares.
Triple X ESPN Radio – Impossible to get a signal, and Snyder overpaid for the first 3 stations. Snyder ended up having to buy SportsTalk 980 and two other stations to get better signals and programming.
McLeod USA – Snyder was on the BOD, McLeod filed for bankrupcty a few years ago.
Tom Cruise movies – Lions For The Lambs was a bomb, and Valkyrie was set back twice from premiere dates. Cruise sounds like Jerry Maguire dressed in a German Nazi outfit from the Valkyrie trailers.
Snyder Wins:
Snyder Communications – Made his fortune during the M&A craze.
Washington Foreskins – Jingling every penny out of loyal Foreskins fans in the stadium, parking lot and stores.
Inventiv Health – Doing okay in a recession market.
Don’t know how the rest of his ventures are faring, but his batting percentage isn’t as great as the nuthuggers would have you believe.

Dan Snyder takes risks. Risks do one of two things. Suceed or fail.
The Redskins after 1998, were a risk. Did it payoff? Profit wise? Of course it did. But in Snyders past 8 seasons, we went to the playoffs 3 times. Not bad.

Big whoop! Snyder gives you a sub-par team that finds stupid ways to lose every other week, while nickel and diming every loyal Foreskins fan.
I’ll be sure to wear a Cowboys/Giants/Eagles jersey to Kings Dominion. Lord knows, I don’t want to step foot onto Six Flags America, that place is dangerous.
