I also agree with Joe: It's over.

And seriously, is the email address for the Coucil "Members Only"? Really?

Laurie Collins speaks up for truth and good government decisions, again. There is no need for a hike/bike path on Klingle Road, NW. The city council should not support a member who is not looking out for what is best for the District.

I agree with Joe. We had a chance to ease some traffic congestion by repairing a road. There was finally a light at the end of the tunnel until Mary Cheh's amendment. Klingle Road needs to be repaired and reopened.

Despite the efforts of Laurie and others, it may be over for Klingle Road, unless the City Council admits their mistake and votes on Tuesday to overturn Ward 3 Council Member Mary Cheh's budget amendment to delete funds requested by the Mayor for immediate cleanup and water remediation in the Klingle area. Mary Cheh's amendment is an environmental disaster in itself, and she has badly misled her colleagues. Her amendment will lead to nothing good in the Klingle Valley and may end up costing the DC government a fortune in litigation by injured parties whose access to their own property would be threatened by the closure of Klingle Road. What can be done? Write at once to DC Council Members: membersonly@dccouncil.us. Ask them to at least pull the Cheh amendment from the budget bill, in order to calmly review the issues about Klingle Road.

I've always thought the folklife festival was scheduled at the worst time. It's about the only time in a year that I go down to the mall, yet it's just about the worst time of the year to be down there.

And are they going to recycle Musica Latina yet again this year? Despite it being on the schedule like five years in a row, they never seemed to have any Brazilian or Argentinian music.
