Women of a “Certain Age” No Longer Menopausal

This week’s very typical Thursday Styles feature (Chipped nail polish is cool now! Just like dark roots and bra straps.) contained a troubling aside: According to one expert, a manicurist to the stars, a woman of a certain age is “anybody over 35.” I always thought “women of a certain age” were 50 and older, ladies who dye their hair and lie about their age. I think I’ll still be telling the truth, and wearing chipped nail polish, way past 35.

    Whatever.

Don’t most women (or at least a large proportion) dye their hair long before 50?
