I was in the basement of my single family detached home in Burke, VA working in my home office and felt the quake. It shook or vibrated the house and sounded somthing like a snow plow truck coming down the street. It definately got my attention, and I went upstair and outside to investigate; and am just learning now that the USGS has confirmed a "micro" quake in Annandale, VA in close proximity of Burke. UFB !!!!

As soon as it happened I felt like it must have been a quake. Here is what Arlington Alert said:

The National Earthquake Information Center, via FEMA Operations, is reporting that Northern VA has experienced rumblings equivalent to an earthquake of magnitude 2 to 3. It remains unclear if this was an actual earthquake, or due to another cause.
