Our Morning Roundup

After you’re done perusing and debating our Best of D.C. issue, maybe you want to check out these stories:

*Bill Richardson talks to GQ about his decision to endorse Barack Obama. They connected, man. In the debates, “we would, you know, trade glances. Like, if some other candidate was making an outrageous statement.”

*Speaking of debates, did you miss last night’s? The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza didn’t.

*Prince of Petworth captures The Floridian, a new building in the U Street/Shaw neighborhood. Buy a condo there and you can tell friends and visitors “Just look for the really hideous, garish building–that’s me.” Sorry, but yikes.

* Rather unexpected report from Washingtonian. The guy from Top Chef who always wears the quirky hats is opening up a restaurant on Capitol Hill.

*They came. They saw. They sold. “Pope Benedict XVI’s first U.S. popemobile ride today was littered with entrepreneurs trying to cash in…” reports DCist.

Spike is one of my least favorite of the Top Chef contestants, but i will still want to check it out.
